Meet Nadine Metling

Third Grade

Mrs. Nadine Metling is a dedicated and experienced educator who has devoted over 35 years to teaching the children of St. Joseph Catholic School. Throughout her career, she has cherished those “light bulb” moments—when students experience the joy of discovery and learning. She especially loves seeing the sparkle in children’s eyes as they explore, create, and investigate through the school’s C-STEM program.

Mrs. Metling is passionate about cultivating a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. A lifelong learner herself, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Southwest Minnesota State University, with concentrations in Reading and Learning Disabilities. She is a certified STEM instructor through St. Catherine University and a Groves Learning Organization Certified Literacy Instructor.

Earlier in her career, Mrs. Metling taught at Balaton Public School and St. Kevin’s Catholic School in Minneapolis. After spending several years as a substitute teacher at St. Joseph School and District 110, she is thrilled to be back in the third-grade classroom full-time.

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Metling enjoys reading, taking walks, and spending time with her grandchildren. During the summer, she also works at the Heritage Event Center. She and her husband, Mark, love living in Waconia and are grateful to be active members of the St. Joseph Catholic Community.
