Laura Brickson is thrilled to join the St. Joseph’s Catholic STEM School community as the Director of Enrollment and Admissions. A lifelong advocate for Catholic education, Laura brings decades of passion, faith, and administrative experience to her role, including serving as a Catholic grade school teacher and principal during her 30+ years in Thief River Falls. Her commitment to Catholic schools runs deep: she is a proud graduate of Sacred Heart High School and grew up inspired by her mother, Jeanette, who devoted her career to teaching third grade in Catholic education.
Laura and her husband, Patrick, recently moved to Waconia to be closer to family, settling right next door to the school at the Wilford apartments. They are the proud parents of three daughters—Hannah and husband Ryan, Grace, and Eleanor—and share their home with two lively cats, Stella and Stitch.
A musician at heart, Laura plays the piano and flute and is eager to share her musical gifts during Mass. When she isn’t helping prospective families discover the joy of St. Joe’s, you can find her exploring the neighborhood on walks, discovering great local food, or relaxing with a good movie. Laura looks forward to welcoming both new and returning families to the vibrant, faith-filled community at St. Joseph!
