Welcome to Kindergarten! Mrs. Tiana Moyer has been a cherished educator at St. Joseph Catholic STEM School since the fall of 2014, bringing warmth, dedicated faith, and exceptional academic expertise to our youngest learners. It is not uncommon to hear her students accidentally call her “Mom”—a natural testament to the deep love, care, and family environment she cultivates in her classroom every day. Mrs. Moyer views every school year as a brand-new adventure, guiding five- and six-year-olds as they build a strong foundation in both academics and their Catholic faith.
Her impressive educational background reflects a deep commitment to modern early childhood instruction. Mrs. Moyer earned her degree in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a focus on pre-primary through third grade. She also holds a STEM teaching certificate from the University of St. Catherine (St. Kate’s), is a Nationally Certified STEM Teacher through the National Institute for STEM Education (NISE), and is a Certified Groves Literacy Instructor.
Faith, family, and teaching are the true pillars of Mrs. Moyer’s life. Her core philosophy centers on laying the essential skills young learners need to become our future engineers, doctors, teachers, inventors, business leaders, or religious vocations. Above all, she aims to guide each child—with the help of God—to become the best version of themselves in everything they say and do.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Moyer loves spending time with her family. She and her husband, an engineer, are proud parents of five children: their oldest attends the University of Minnesota Duluth, their middle two attend Waconia High School, and their youngest two attend St. Joseph Catholic STEM School. Together, the Moyer family enjoys playing board games, cheering their children on at sporting events, going on bike rides, and taking family vacations.
St. Joseph Catholic STEM School is truly blessed to have Mrs. Moyer introducing our students to the world of K–12 education!
