St Joseph Catholic School provides activities and athletics programs where all students have the opportunity to learn, play and have fun while promoting positive self-esteem, sportsmanship, and Christian behavior. Learn more about 4HG!

Practices begin in early November and games are scheduled to begin in December. The season is planned to end at the end of February.

Check out the early years of St. Joe's Basketball! Lloyd Laumann, one of our earliest coaches put together an archive of the first-ever basketball teams and players.
Batter up! Our baseball and softball programs offer players the opportunity to hone their skills and deepen their love for the game. From learning the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, and base running to mastering advanced techniques like pitching and catching. Our program prepares players for success both on and off the field.
5/6 Baseball- Games are Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning May 28th through July 9.
7/8 Baseball- Scheduled through Crow River League. Game nights vary on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

The St. Joseph Catholic School competes in the West Metro division of the Minnesota Junior High Math League. Participation in the math league gives students an opportunity to expand their math skills individually and cooperatively in groups. It is also a chance for students to compete against the best “Mathletes” in the western suburbs. The West Metro division consists of St. Joseph School and five area schools (Watertown-Mayer, Our Lady of the Lake, St. Therese, Waconia Middle School, and Notre Dame Academy). There are five meets from October to January which are approximately 3 school weeks apart. Students compete for team and individual honors. The team consists of students in grades 6-8 and practices approximately once per week from September to January. The team is coached by Kristi Klawitter and Amy Gallus.
The registration fee is $50 for all students. If students would like to purchase a Math League t-shirt they can do that through our spirit wear shop.

Robotics is open to all grades 4-8 students. Students will have the opportunity to compete and advance to the Regional First Lego League Tournament, typically held in November or December. The State Tournament is held in January each year.

What is the FIRST LEGO League?
FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is an exciting alliance between FIRST and the LEGO® Group. It’s a robotics program for 9 to 16-year-olds (9 to 14 in US/CAN/MEX), which is designed to get children excited about science and technology and teach them valuable employment and life skills.
Teams of up to 10 kids program an autonomous robot (using a LEGO MINDSTORMS® robot set) to score points on a thematic playing surface, create an innovative solution to a problem as part of their Project, all while guided by the FLL Core Values. These three elements – the Robot Game, Project, and FLL Core Values – make up what we call our yearly Challenge.
Join the St. Joe’s Ski Club! Ski Club is open to grades 5-8!
- Time: Bus will leave school at 3 pm and will return at 9:00 pm

This is a parent-chaperoned activity! We receive Chaperone passes so you can ski or hang out in the chalet! Contact Mrs. Klein if you would like to chaperone!

Join us on our Saints Soccer team! Soccer is open to all Kindergarten-Grade 6 students.

Girls Volleyball 5-8 grade
Girls Volleyball focuses on fundamental skills such as serving, passing, setting, and hitting. Each grade brings continuous skill development. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, calling the ball, and multiple touches. Grades may be combined to form one team or be two separate teams.

We are offering a running club/cross country for grades 3-8. The Cross Country running team season begins the first week in September. There are four meets scheduled throughout the season. The cost is $40.
