Who are we at St. Joseph School?
Our faculty members are not typical instructors. They are passionate, mission-driven, vocational, faith-filled teachers who choose to work in a faith-based environment that helps young learners become disciples, scholars, athletes, and citizens. Our faculty continually study best practices in teaching and learning. They enrich their learning by studying our faith. They engage in service-based teaching and learning so that our students might understand that it is better to give than to receive.
Our faculty is composed of faith-filled, highly qualified, lifelong learners! 86% of our faculty have obtained or are in the process of receiving their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) certification and all faculty members continually engage in ongoing STEM instructional training. Our elementary faculty teach all core subjects to their students. Our middle school faculty are specialists in content areas (i.e. Science, Math, Social Studies, and English). Our faculty also includes a PE/Health specialist, two Music teachers, an Art teacher, a technology specialist, and a specially trained SmartLab facilitator—one of only two such teachers in the state of Minnesota.
