Bonnie Ellingson’s teaching career began in high school by teaching 1st and 8th-grade religion classes at her hometown parish of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Watertown, South Dakota. Bonnie graduated from the College of Saint Benedict with a degree in Elementary Education, a minor in music, and an emphasis on Technology Education. She received a Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Mathematics from the University of Saint Thomas. She was recently certified as a Groves Learning Organization Certified Literacy Instructor.
Mrs. Ellingson loves the energy that students bring and looks forward to harnessing that energy into hands-on and engaging projects. One of her goals for the year is to guide students to be independent, well-rounded learners.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, riding her bike, and baking.
