Born and raised in Iowa, Erin Bovee is a proud alumna of the University of Iowa where she honed her skills in Elementary Education, complemented by an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. Her teaching journey began in Des Moines at Christ the King School, where she not only nurtured young minds but also guided them in their spiritual journey, as they embarked on their sacramental preparations in the second grade.
In 2004, she embraced a new chapter in Minnesota, instructing first graders and then kindergarteners at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Savage until 2022. Erin then shifted her focus toward her family and the community of Waconia. With 20 years of experience in Catholic education, Erin is excited to be a part of St. Joseph Catholic STEM School.
An advocate for literacy, Erin’s enthusiasm for reading led her to Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she added a Reading endorsement to her list of credentials. As a Groves Learning Organization Certified Literacy Instructor, along with comprehensive LETRS training, she aspires to ignite a love for reading in every student she mentors.
Erin resides in Waconia with her husband and two children, Claire and Connor. An avid reader, Erin also enjoys cycling and knitting. The beach holds a special place in her heart and is her favorite vacation destination. Together, the Bovee family revels in the joys of travel, the camaraderie of card games, and the irreplaceable moments they share. The Bovee family’s integration into St. Joseph Parish in 2022 further cemented their bond with the community they adore.
Erin hopes that her dedication, passion, and expertise will illuminate the paths of countless students, guiding them toward a brighter future
