Mrs. Tricia Battis is more than thrilled to be our Explorers (Toddler) Lead Teacher for the St. Joseph School location of Lakes Area Discovery Center (LADC). Tricia has lived in Waconia since 2004 with her husband Tom and three daughters, Alyson, Meghan and Molly. All three of her girls attended St. Joseph School.
Tricia has been with LADC since 2017 as the preschool extended care lead at St. Joseph School in Waconia and Our Lady of the Lake in Mound. She loves the warm sense of family that the St. Joseph embodies and is excited to continue being a part of the community as the new Explorers teacher.
Mrs. Battis has worked in the childcare and preschool classroom setting for over nine years. She grew up in Farley, Iowa, where her mother taught kindergarten for 42 years. It is clear, that her mother passed on a love for inspiring children to Tricia. She graduated from St. Mary’s University in Winona with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an emphasis on Child Development.
Tricia loves the rewarding experience of working with bright eyed and curious young learners! Every day provides a new adventure with the little ones.
