Mr. Sieh is from Revillo, South Dakota originally, and comes from a family of 5 kids. He graduated from Grant Deuel High school in 2001 and briefly attended Mount Marty university before his deployment to Iraq as a member of the South Dakota National Guard. It was during his deployment that he found his calling as a teacher. Mr. Sieh also met the love of his life and future wife Melody. After their unit returned home he continued his education at South Dakota State University. He majored in History and education while also adding a minor in religious studies. While attending SDSU he also had the opportunity to be a part of the Jackrabbits football team, first as a player and then as a volunteer coach. In 2008 he was married to Melody and in 2010 he both graduated from college as well as welcomed their first child into their home.
He took a position to teach at Chamberlain Academy, a privately run school to serve the educational needs of transitional youths. After a few years, he wound up back in his hometown and taught for 4 years at Grant Deuel school district. This was a wonderful time in his life as they welcomed two more children into their house and relished being back home near family. Unfortunately dropping school attendance led to Grant Deuel permanently closing its doors. After a time his wife received a promotion in the USPS and they moved to their current home in Jordan, MN. They have been here since 2019 and absolutely love it. After spending last year back teaching at Gateway STEM Academy in Burnsville, he is ready to continue sharing his passion with the staff and students at St. Joseph.
